Flanged Hub Nut

M22 × 1.5 flanged hex nut — A/F 33 mm, flange Ø 46 mm, Class 10. Compatible with Meritor 1229-X-1372 and Dana 43889-1 axle specifications. Lot-marked, EN 10204 3.1 MTC with each shipment.

Application

Flanged hub nut.
Wheel-end application.

The flanged hub nut retains the wheel-end bearing assembly on the axle spindle. The integral flange distributes clamping load across a wider bearing area compared to a standard hex nut and washer.

Manufacturing — Ludhiana

Manufactured in
four controlled stages.

From wire rod to finished, coated, inspected part — four stages, one Ludhiana facility, full lot traceability throughout.

01
Raw material
Carbon steel wire rod — C45 or 10B21 — supplied with EN 10204 3.1 MTC. Each heat is certified for chemistry and mechanical properties before production begins.

Cold heading
Wire is fed into a multi-station header. The hex body and integral flange are formed in the same stroke — no material removed, no weld lines, net-shape part.

Thread rolling
Internal threads rolled, not cut. Rolling displaces material rather than removing it, keeping grain flow continuous through the thread root for improved fatigue resistance. Tolerance: 6H per DIN 13.
04
Heat treatment, coating & inspection
Quench-and-temper to Class 10 (800–1040 MPa). Zinc electroplate, hot-dip galvanising, or Geomet 500 applied to order. De-embrittlement bake standard on electroplated parts. Every nut sorted optically then checked with calibrated Go / No-go gauges. EN 10204 3.1 MTC issued per lot. Lot retains held for ten years.
